What does the rent include?

The rent is all-inclusive, meaning one simple payment covers all utilities: cable TV and Internet, electricity ($30 gift), gas, water, sewer and trash service

What floor plans do you have?

SQ5 offers a range of floor plan options. You can choose from one-, two-, three- and four- bedroom apartments. Click HERE to view our floor plans.

Will my apartment come furnished?

Yes. Each apartment comes with a complete furniture package.

What’s an individual lease?

An individual lease means you’re only responsible for your portion of the rent. Although you may have roommates with whom you share the common areas of your apartment, their names are not on your lease, and you are not financially accountable for them.

Do I have to pay a deposit?

There is a per person deposit fee. Please contact the office for details.

How long is the lease?

We offer 12-month leases.

Do you have a roommate matching service?

Yes. When you complete your lease contract, you’ll get a profile card with the option to provide your study habits, social habits and hobbies. If you haven’t already selected your roommate(s), we‘ll use this information, along with your floor plan preferences, to match you with a compatible resident or residents.

Can I pick my roommates?

Yes. You can list the roommate(s) you have chosen on your profile card when completing your lease. Roommate matches will not be honored unless all roommates list each other, and all requests are mutual.

Can I request a specific apartment?

You can list your preferences on your profile card and housing application, and we’ll do our best to place you in an apartment that fits those requests. All requests are met on a first-come, first-served basis and are taken in order based on the date we received your application.

How close is SQ5 to Georgia Tech?

SQ5 is 500 feet from Georgia Tech’s campus. A pedestrian bridge connects from the front door of SQ5 directly to the heart of Tech Square and the Tech Trolley stop at the Square.

Are there security cameras on every floor?

While we do have cameras around the property, not every floor has a camera.

How do I contact security?

You may contact security any time 404.214.6911.

Can anyone get to the resident areas?

No. Once you enter the building, you’ll need your resident key card to access the elevator and resident floors.

Do I have to pay for a parking space?

There is a parking fee. Please contact the office to find out the rates.

How do I get in the parking garage?

Drivers must have a key card to enter the parking garage.

Do you have maintenance staff?

Yes. Maintenance professionals are available during office hours, and we offer 24-hour emergency maintenance.

What’s a guarantor?

We require applicants to provide someone to guarantee their housing contract.

When is a guarantor needed?

For all residents, a guarantor will be required to complete the guaranty agreement.

What paperwork requires a guarantor?

The guarantor will need to sign the guaranty agreement. If the resident is not of legal age to execute a contract, the guarantor will be required to sign both the lease and the guaranty agreement.

Can I be my own guarantor?

A resident can act as their own guarantor if they can show documentation that they have an income greater than three times the monthly rent installment, as outlined in the lease agreement.
